Fallsview Casino Resort, month by month
This is an independent seasonal guide to Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario, written for short stays from Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo. You use it to choose when to go, which room category to request, what changes with weather and events, and then send a booking desk your dates and room preferences for a follow-up.
Season by season
Pick the season, then the room

Winter
December to March is for indoor pacing, cold-weather packing, spa time, dining, shows and published Winter Festival of Lights dates where available.

Spring
April and May suit travellers who want a shoulder-season stay, changeable weather planning and a room request before summer demand builds.

Summer
June to August needs earlier planning for evening walks, Niagara Parks fireworks dates when published, warmer weather and busier outdoor areas.

Fall
September to November is built around cooler nights, regional colour, wine-country notes where published, show weekends and a quieter November plan.
Why the calendar matters here
Fallsview Casino Resort sits at 6380 Fallsview Boulevard, on the Fallsview side of Niagara Falls. That location makes the calendar more than background detail. The same room request can feel different in January, May, August or November because daylight, mist, walking conditions, show traffic and fireworks schedules change the way you use the hotel.
Views are the first reason to plan by date. The resort publishes room categories with view language such as Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, city, panoramic falls, or a glimpse of the Falls and a city view. Read those words carefully. “Fallsview” in a room name or category is not a promise of a specific view from your bed. The resort’s own room descriptions point to different outlooks within categories, and some rooms see both Horseshoe Falls and Bridal Falls while others see only one. If the view matters, you should request the view in plain language for your dates, not rely on a label.
Weather is the second reason. Winter can turn a short walk into an indoor day built around the spa, restaurants, the pool and a show. Summer gives you longer evenings on the ridge, but it also brings the busiest outdoor rhythm. Autumn is different again: cooler nights, colour in the region, and show weekends that can shape dinner times and elevators. Spring sits between indoor and outdoor versions of the stay, with changeable packing and shoulder-season pacing.
Events are the third reason. The resort lists two entertainment venues and “over 320 shows per year,” while Niagara Parks publishes seasonal fireworks and light schedules when available. On this site, seasonal pages use only published dates from the facts we have. For example, the winter at the falls guide covers the Winter Festival of Lights dates in the facts, while the summer page uses the published Niagara Parks fireworks schedule. If no dates are published for a period, we say so and point you to the current calendar.
A quick orientation to the resort
Fallsview Casino Resort is both a casino resort and a hotel, owned by OLG and operated by Mohegan, by secondary sources. The hotel count most consistently published by secondary sources is 372 rooms and suites; the resort’s own pages do not publish a room-count figure. Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 11am, which matters if you are building a one-night show stay or a two-night weekend around dinner and walking time.
The casino floor is published as 200,000 square feet, with over 3,200 slots and video poker machines and 110 table games. The casino is open 24 hours, 7 days, all holidays. Casino entry in Ontario is 19+, and minors cannot be on the gaming floor. For a mixed-age group, plan meals, shopping and falls walks outside the gaming floor. The resort’s dress code says shirts and shoes must be worn at all times, with offensive or threatening messages not allowed.
The theatre side is a major part of how many travellers use the property. OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino is listed with 5,000 seats and the Avalon Theatre with a capacity of 1,559 seats. The Avalon Theatre is located in the Galleria across from Ponte Vecchio. The resort publishes “TWO” venues and “over 320 shows per year.” For the mechanics of arrival, dinner and walking back after a performance, use our page on shows at OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre.
Dining is spread across the resort and Galleria. The resort says “Over 20” restaurants. Named options in our facts include 21 Club Steak & Seafood, Ponte Vecchio, Golden Lotus, Noodle Bar, Falls Deli, Bar Barista, OVERTIME Sports Lounge, Infinity Bar, Splash Bar, Dragonfly and a food court on the lower level past the Galleria Shops. The dining page states there is no buffet. Alcohol service at resort restaurants is published as 11:00 AM–1:50 AM daily, while non-alcoholic beverages are available 24h. For a weekend plan, start with restaurants and bars before you decide whether to eat before or after a show.
Indoor facilities matter most in cold or wet months. The resort lists an indoor pool, a work-out area and Damara Day Spa on the 3rd floor. Published hours in our facts are pool 7am–10pm, work-out area 7am–9pm, and Damara Day Spa Mon–Sun 10:00 AM–8:00 PM. The pool rule states guests must be 12+ unless accompanied by a parent or designated adult aged 16+, and a daily key is required. Details are gathered on spa, pool and fitness.
How to use this site for your dates
Start with the month, not the room. If you are travelling in December through March, read winter first and decide how much of the stay you want indoors. If you are choosing April or May, check the spring page for a lighter shoulder-season plan. June through August is more date-sensitive because of outdoor programming and evening crowds. September through November is about cooler nights, autumn colours and the run into the quieter pre-winter period; the autumn colours page keeps that separate from winter lights.
Then choose the shape of the stay. Couples from the Toronto area often ask for one or two nights around a show, dinner and a morning walk. Buffalo-area readers often need a clear arrival plan, border timing of their own, and a room request that makes sense if they arrive later in the day. We do not publish invented drive times where the resort does not give them. For route notes from the facts, use getting there from Toronto and the separate parking page before you leave.
After that, decide how much the room view matters. The rooms and suites page uses only room-category names and descriptions found in the facts: Deluxe Rooms, Diplomat Suites, Parlour Suites, Executive Suites, Ambassador Suites and Premier Suites. It also explains where the language is precise and where it is broad. If you want Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, both, or a city-facing room, write that in the request. A request is not a guarantee, but it gives the booking desk something specific to check.
Finally, use the request form as a dated brief. Put in arrival and departure dates, number of guests, whether a show or seasonal event is driving the trip, and any room-view preference. If your dates are flexible, say which month and which nights of the week work. This site is independent; it is not the resort’s official site. If you need the resort’s live entertainment calendar or direct booking pages, use fallsviewcasinoresort.com.

The resort gives its own distances as 90 minutes from Toronto and 45 from Buffalo. Snow on the QEW, a summer Saturday or a slow border line stretch both, so check the live route on the day. Quick answers
Before you send your dates
Is this the official Fallsview Casino Resort website?
No. This is an independent review and room-request site. The resort’s official site is fallsviewcasinoresort.com, which you should use for its live calendar, direct booking pages and current operating notices.
Does a Fallsview room name guarantee a falls view?
No. “Fallsview” in a room name or category should be treated as a category label, not a promise of a specific view. The resort publishes different view descriptions by category, so ask for the view you want in plain language.
What is the minimum age for the casino?
Ontario casino entry is 19+. Fallsview’s policy says ID may be requested from anyone who appears under 30, and anyone who appears 21 or younger must show two pieces of ID.
When should I send a room request?
Send it after you know your dates, party size and reason for the stay. Include any show, season or view preference, especially if you are planning a one- or two-night weekend.
