How to use these notes

Start with the month you are considering, then read the note that matches the reason for your trip. If you are building a weekend around a concert, the show-night piece sits naturally beside shows at OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre, restaurants and bars, and the practical parking and valet page.

If you are choosing between seasons, use the journal as a second pass after the main calendar guides. November, for example, belongs to autumn by date, but it feels different from the colour weeks before it and the light displays after it. That is why it has its own note as well as the broader page on autumn colours.

The resort is a casino hotel, so one rule matters when you plan with younger relatives: casino entry in Ontario is 19+, and minors cannot be on the gaming floor. For room choice, remember the recurring caveat on this site: “Fallsview” in a room name or category is not, by itself, a promise of the exact view you picture. Use the rooms and suites page to phrase your request clearly.

What changes from a full review

The full review stays broad: location, room categories, the theatres, dining, pool, spa and the practical limits of what the resort publishes. The journal is narrower. It lets you think through one decision at a time, such as when to arrive on a show day or what November means for daylight, weather and open indoor options.

For updates, the same rule applies as on the rest of the site. I only include changes that can be tied to published facts in the source file used for this guide. If the resort does not publish a detail, or if a source is secondary, the note says so rather than filling the gap.
