The short version

This site earns only when a room request made here turns into a confirmed hotel stay. The commission is paid by the hotel or by the booking partner that completes the reservation. It is not added as a separate charge to you by this site.

You do not pay us to read the guide, send a room request, or receive an email back from the desk. You also do not enter card details on this site. The reservation is completed with the hotel or booking partner, using the terms they provide at the time.

The editorial pages are separate from that commission. Our full review, seasonal pages and room notes are written to help you decide whether the resort fits your dates, weather tolerance and plans. The resort does not pay us to write those pages.

That separation matters most when you are choosing between a show night, a winter stay, a summer weekend, or a quieter date. We can point out practical limits, missing published details and the difference between a room category and a guaranteed view. In the rooms and suites guide, for example, we repeat that “Fallsview” in a room name is a category, not a promise of the exact view from your window.

What happens after you send dates

The room-request process is deliberately simple. You send the dates you want, the number of guests, and any room preference that matters to you. If your stay is tied to a season, a theatre date, or a specific arrival plan, include that too.

1. You send your dates. Use the request form and give the desk the nights you are considering.
2. The desk checks availability. The desk looks for current availability for those dates and the room type you asked about.
3. You receive an email. The reply sets out the room option and the current rate available for that request.
4. The booking is completed with the hotel or partner. If you want to proceed, the reservation is finished through the hotel or booking partner, not through card entry on this site.

Availability and rates can change, especially around shows at OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre, summer weekends and holiday periods. The email is the point where you see what is available for your exact dates. The guide pages are not a live booking engine and do not guarantee that a room, rate or view will still be open when the desk checks.

What independence means here
