Arrival guide

Getting to Fallsview Casino Resort

Fallsview Casino Resort sits at 6380 Fallsview Boulevard in Niagara Falls, Ontario. If you are coming from the Toronto area, Hamilton, the QEW corridor or Buffalo, the cleanest plan depends on your dates, border timing and whether you want a car once you arrive. This guide keeps to the routes and services the resort or transit operators publish, links every approach to a live Google Maps route, and then points you to the room request form for your dates.

Start with the kind of trip you are taking

For a one- or two-night stay, your arrival choice shapes the whole weekend. If you are driving from the GTA or Hamilton, you will usually think about QEW traffic first, then parking at the resort. If you are coming from Buffalo, you will add a border crossing to the plan. If you would rather not drive, GO Transit and listed bus operators can get you into Niagara Falls, but you still need to plan the last part from the station or drop-off point.

The resort’s getting-here page puts the property 90 minutes from Toronto and 45 minutes from Buffalo, and its driving page sends you to Google Maps for any starting point it does not list. A secondary tourism source adds that the GTA drive can double at rush hour or on weekends, so read the 90 minutes as a quiet-road figure rather than a promise. Toronto Pearson is published as 125 km, or 78 mi, from Niagara Falls.

If you are choosing dates around a show, check the timing before you book transport. The property has OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino and the Avalon Theatre; if that is the reason you are staying over, read the separate guide to shows at OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre before you set your arrival window. For a broader stay plan, the weekend in Niagara Falls itinerary shows how arrival, dinner and a morning at the falls can fit together.

The casino floor is for guests aged 19+ in Ontario, and minors cannot be on the gaming floor. That does not stop you booking a hotel stay with younger family members, but it does affect how you move through the property and where you meet.

Driving from Toronto, Hamilton and the QEW corridor

From Toronto, the resort’s published route is straightforward: take the QEW to Niagara Falls, then Hwy 420 at Exit 30, continue to Stanley Avenue, turn right and follow signs. That is the only official route detail in the facts we use here, so I would not invent a minute-by-minute plan. In practice, you should check current traffic before leaving, especially on Friday afternoons, summer Saturdays and event nights.

Hamilton sits on the same QEW corridor. The resort does not publish a separate Hamilton driving route, so use current mapping for the first part and join the same Niagara Falls approach from the QEW. If you are travelling in winter, give yourself more margin than you think you need. Lake-effect weather can make the road feel different from the Toronto forecast, and hotel check-in is published as 4pm.

Once you arrive at the resort area, read the parking details before you circle the block. The property publishes that overnight parking is available, but it does not publish fixed dollar rates. Its parking page states that rates fluctuate and are determined at the time of departure. Momentum parking benefits exist for some members, and the garage has 10 ChargePoint stations in the Fallsview Parking Garage, but hourly charging rates apply and a ChargePoint app or account is needed. The practical notes are on our parking and valet page.

If your stay is tied to season rather than a show, leave more time in summer and during holiday light periods. For planning by month, use the seasonal guides for summer, autumn colours and winter at the falls. They will not replace live traffic, but they do help you decide whether to arrive before dinner or later in the evening.

Two ready-made routes for this approach, both by car: downtown Toronto (from the CN Tower) to Fallsview and Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Fallsview. Google recalculates them for the traffic at the moment you open them, which on a July Friday or a Festival of Lights Saturday is the only drive time worth trusting.

Driving from Buffalo and choosing a bridge

From Buffalo, the resort’s published route is I-190 N to the Peace Bridge, then QEW to McLeod Road at Exit 27, then Stanley Avenue. The same resort directions name three border crossings for the Niagara area: Peace Bridge, Rainbow Bridge via Hwy 420 and Roberts Street, and Queenston-Lewiston via Hwy 405.

The resort does not publish border wait times, drive times from Buffalo or advice on which crossing will be fastest. Do not build a tight dinner or theatre plan around a perfect border run. Check the official border information on the day, and keep the first evening simple if you are arriving after work. A late check-in, a nearby dinner and a show the next night is often calmer than trying to fit everything into the first few hours.

If you are a Buffalo-area couple using the hotel as a base for Niagara Falls and the surrounding area, decide in advance whether the car will stay parked once you arrive. On a short stay, you may use the car for wine country or a drive along the river, then walk or use local transit near the falls. The resort does not publish distances to Niagara-on-the-Lake or Twenty Valley in the material we have, so the Niagara wine country page stays general and season-based rather than pretending to know your route time.

Remember that customs timing can change the mood of a one-night trip. If you are coming only for a theatre date, consider booking the room for the night of the show and arriving earlier in the day. The OLG Stage box office opens at 12 noon on show days only, according to the resort’s theatre information.

The resort also prints a route for drivers coming from Rochester, Cleveland and Erie that skips the Peace Bridge: I-90 west, the I-290 at exit 50, I-190 north to exit 21 for the Robert Moses Parkway, then across the Rainbow Bridge and up Roberts Street (Highway 420) to Stanley Avenue. Ready-made links: downtown Buffalo to Fallsview and Rochester to Fallsview. Google picks its own bridge for the day; drag the line on the map if you have a preference.

GO Transit, train and station planning

The Niagara Falls GO station is listed at 4267 Bridge Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario. GO lists the station under train service; the station is not staffed, has no free customer parking and has bike racks. The station listing also says there are no local transit connections available. That last point matters: do not assume a train arrival drops you at the resort door.

The resort’s own train page still refers to weekend and holiday Union Station to Niagara Falls service starting June 26, 2021. Because that wording is stale, use it only as a sign that rail service has been promoted in the past, not as a current timetable. Niagara Falls Tourism, by a medium-confidence source in our notes, describes a daily GO commuter train in the morning with an evening return, plus GO Bus service via St. Catharines and Outlet Collection. It does not give a travel time to Union in the facts available for this page.

For a car-free stay, check current GO schedules before you request the room, then plan the last leg from the station separately. The resort facts we have do not publish a hotel shuttle from the GO station. If you are travelling with overnight bags, weather matters. A winter arrival after dark feels very different from a mild April afternoon.

If you are deciding between a car-free trip and a driving trip, look at your room and evening plans together. A room request with a later arrival note is cleaner than assuming you will make an early dinner. The rooms and suites guide explains the published room categories. Where a room name includes “Fallsview,” treat that as a category label, not a guarantee of a specific view from your window.

To see the rail option end to end, open Union Station to Fallsview by transit. It shows the trains and buses running on the date you check, including the stretch from the station that the GO listing leaves to you, so look at it again the week you travel rather than the month you book.

Flying in: Pearson, Hamilton or Buffalo

The resort’s air page names five airports: Lester B. Pearson in Toronto, Hamilton International, St. Catharines/Niagara District, the Greater Buffalo airport and Niagara International on the New York side. It also says taxis, buses, limousines and the major car rental counters are waiting at the international airports serving Toronto and Buffalo. Which one suits you is mostly a question of fares and of which side of the border you want to land on.

Pearson (YYZ) is the long way round the lake: the full QEW run, roughly the published 125 km to Niagara Falls, and the same rush-hour warning as the Toronto drive above. In a snow week, add margin before a 4pm check-in rather than after it. Pearson to Fallsview by car in Google Maps.

Hamilton (YHM), listed by the resort as Hamilton International and officially John C. Munro Hamilton International, is on the Niagara side of Toronto, so the drive joins the QEW without crossing the city. For a spring or autumn weekend with a cheap fare, it is the airport we would check first. Hamilton airport to Fallsview by car.

Buffalo (BUF) puts a border crossing between you and the room. The resort’s 45 minutes from Buffalo is a city figure, not a door-to-door promise once the customs line is counted, and the trip home needs a passport, a US passport card, an enhanced driver’s licence or a NEXUS card for re-entry into the United States. Buffalo airport to Fallsview by car.

Taxis, car services and the walk from the falls

For a transfer without a rental car, the resort’s air page gives two Niagara numbers: Central Taxi at 1 (905) 358-3232 and NCT Elite Cars at 1 (905) 468-7727. Book a Pearson or Buffalo pickup ahead and agree the fare when you call; the resort publishes no prices for either service, and neither do we.

From the Niagara Falls GO station a cab is the simplest last leg, since the station listing shows no local transit connections there. GO station to the resort by car shows the drive across town, and is worth sending to the driver if you are arriving after dark.

Most stays include at least one trip to the falls and back. Niagara Parks runs the Falls Incline Railway as the link between the Fallsview tourist area and Table Rock Centre by the Horseshoe Falls: $4 one way, $8 return, $10 for the day, children 2 and under free. It runs all year except January 19 to February 13, and this autumn it is closed for maintenance from October 26 until November 7, 2026, with a WEGO shuttle covering the same hop from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Google rates the walk itself as mostly flat; if you would rather go on foot, Table Rock Centre to the resort on foot gives the path and the distance.

Resort-listed bus operators and casino shuttle

The resort lists several bus operators by area. Front Line Tours is listed for Hamilton Mountain, Downtown Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Oakville, Burlington and Grimsby. Safeway Tours is listed for Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, North York, Richmond Hill, Scarborough and Toronto. Casino Express is listed for London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Brantford. The resort page provides phone numbers for those operators, but schedules, fares and pick-up rules are not published in the facts for this guide, so confirm directly before you count on a seat.

Once you are in Niagara Falls, there is also a free shuttle between Fallsview and Casino Niagara. It runs Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on OLG Stage show days, from 4:00pm to 12:45am, every 30 minutes. From Fallsview, it leaves from the lower concourse bus area on the hour and half hour. From Casino Niagara, it leaves from the Victoria Street entrance at :15 and :45. There is no service from 8:00pm to 8:30pm. The last Fallsview to Casino Niagara trip is 12:30am, and the last Casino Niagara to Fallsview trip is 12:45am.

Boarding requires a Momentum card, show ticket or partner-hotel key card, according to the published shuttle information. That makes it useful for a specific local link, not a general city transit replacement. If your dinner or show timing depends on it, note the gap in service and the last departure times.

For local sightseeing, WEGO has changed. The Red Line became Niagara Region Transit local routes 116 and 216 on Sept 3, 2024. The Blue Line is operated by Niagara Parks, and the Orange Line is the Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle, with a transfer at Floral Clock. WEGO passes are sold at the Niagara Parks Shop/Welcome Centre at Fallsview Casino Resort. Published fares include tax: adult 24h $16.00 and 48h $20.00; child aged 3–12 24h $12.00 and 48h $16.00; children 2 and under are free. Operating hours were not published in the facts available here, so check official transit pages for the date you travel.

What to check the week you travel

Before you leave, confirm four things: your hotel dates, your route, your arrival time and your parking or transit plan. The resort publishes check-in at 4pm and check-out at 11am. If you expect to arrive much earlier, plan where you will eat or walk before the room is ready. If you expect to arrive late, put that note into the room request so the booking desk can pass it along where possible.

For transit, check current GO, Niagara Region Transit, Niagara Parks WEGO and any bus operator you plan to use. The facts in this guide identify routes, station details and published services, but timetables change. For resort booking pages or official event calendars, use fallsviewcasinoresort.com and confirm directly.

For driving, check road and border conditions on the day rather than relying on a normal estimate. The published GTA drive note says around an hour and a half can double at rush hour or on weekends. That is enough reason to avoid a tight first-night reservation if you are leaving after work.

Finally, match your arrival to the room you are asking for. A “Fallsview” room label is a category, not a promise that every room has the same view. In your request, name the dates, the bed type you prefer, whether you are driving or arriving by transit, and whether a show, winter lights, summer fireworks or a quiet midweek stay is shaping the trip.
