Responsible gaming and this hotel guide
You may be planning Fallsview Casino Resort for a room, a show, dinner, the spa, or a seasonal weekend at the falls. This page sets out the Ontario gaming age rule, the help and self-exclusion routes published for the resort, and the boundary of this site: we cover the hotel stay and room requests, not gambling.

What this site does, and does not do
This is an independent casino-hotel review and booking-request site. It is not Fallsview Casino Resort, OLG, Mohegan, or a gaming operator. You cannot gamble through this site, open an account here, place a wager here, or receive gambling offers from us.
Our work is practical travel editing: when to go, which dates are busy, how a show night works, what room categories the resort publishes, and how to make a room request for your stay. If you are comparing the property as a place to sleep, eat and move around the Fallsview district, start with the full review. If your trip is built around a concert, use shows at OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre to plan the hotel side of the evening.
Where rooms are discussed, remember the site rule we use throughout: “Fallsview” in a room name or category is not a promise of a specific view. The resort publishes room categories and view descriptions, but the actual assignment depends on the room booked and what is available for your dates. Use rooms and suites before you submit a request.
Ontario age rule and casino access
In Ontario, the minimum age to play a game of chance at a casino is 19. At Fallsview Casino Resort, you must be 19+ to enter the casino, and minors cannot be on the gaming floor.
The resort’s published practice is that security may ask anyone who appears under 30 for ID. Anyone who appears 21 or younger must show two pieces of ID. If your group includes younger travellers, plan the stay around the hotel, dining, shows where permitted, the falls, the Galleria, and off-site time rather than using the gaming floor as a meeting point.
This matters on a weekend itinerary. Do not tell a mixed-age group to meet “inside the casino” after dinner. Choose a public hotel lobby area, a restaurant that permits under-19 guests, the Galleria, or an outdoor landmark instead. If you are arranging a family or mixed-age stay, make that clear in the room-request notes so the booking desk can focus on the hotel details rather than casino access.
If gambling is causing stress
Signs of harm are not always dramatic. A problem can look like staying longer than planned, hiding spending from a partner, borrowing money to continue, chasing losses, missing work or family plans, feeling restless when not gambling, or using casino time to avoid stress, grief, debt, or conflict.
If any of that sounds familiar, pause the casino part of the trip. You can still use the resort as a hotel base only if that is safe for you, but it may be better to choose a non-casino hotel or shorten the stay. A concert, dinner, or winter walk at the falls does not need to include the gaming floor.
ConnexOntario is the province-wide service published for gambling support: 1-866-531-2600. It is described as free, 24/7, and able to connect you with mental health, addictions and gambling support. The resort also publishes CASON St. Catharines at 905-684-1183.
On property, the PlaySmart Centre at Fallsview is listed on the main floor of the Galleria by Ponte Vecchio, daily 10 a.m.–2 a.m., with 905-371-0774 and 1-866-312-6807 published by the resort. OLG’s PlaySmart programme is delivered on-site by the Responsible Gambling Council. A Virtual PlaySmart Centre is also published at 1-833-888-2306, daily 11am–7pm.
My PlayBreak self-exclusion
My PlayBreak is OLG’s self-exclusion programme. The published terms are 3 months, 6 months, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years. It bars entry to all Ontario casinos and gambling on OLG.ca.
OLG publishes online video enrolment through [email protected] or 1-800-387-0098. The Fallsview responsible-gambling information also notes facial recognition for excluded persons. A breach is treated under the Trespass to Property Act. For reinstated persons, the published rule says no casino credit for 2 years.
If you have self-excluded, do not use a casino hotel stay as a test of willpower. Book somewhere else, or plan a Niagara stay that avoids casino premises. If you are travelling with someone who has self-excluded, respect the exclusion in the practical plan: choose restaurants, walks, transport and meeting points that do not require passing through the gaming floor.
For hotel-only planning, this site’s seasonal pages can still help with timing. You can compare winter at the falls, spring, summer or autumn without making the casino part of the trip. If you decide Fallsview Casino Resort is not the right base, that is a valid travel decision.
